ABOUT
Joe Petrina’s lifelong dream was to own his own small business.
Joe’s father owned an east Portland meat market, where Joe honed his entrepreneurial skills. His interest in carpentry grew during his time at the University of Oregon and Portland State University.
He began working as a carpenter in 1974, building small decks and fences. A one-man show, Joe grew skilled at framing, cabinetry work, and finishing. Just three years later, at the age of 23, he founded his own company and expanded into remodeling all areas of the home: kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and new homes. Perhaps more importantly, Joe discovered his innate talent for helping home owners achieve their dreams.
Over its 40+ year history, Petrina Construction has grown into a thriving small business with eight field employees and two office staff. Now run by father and son, Joe & David Petrina, we continue to build and renovate homes in the wider Portland area. Our goals are to always exceed the highest industry standards in safety and quality, to maintain our strong Oregonian ethics and values, and to offer our community financial and volunteer support.

JOE
Owner and Operator of Petrina Construction. He’ll run a great job for you and is always down to talk Blazers.
DAVID
Joe’s son and Project Manager, David is a great guide on any job. He loves to fish and get outdoors.
GARY
Gary is a Project Manager and our Finisher. He has a keen eye for detail and great strategies to get any job done right. He’s been with us since the start. On the weekends you’ll find him climbing mountains.
SarahAnne
SarahAnne keeps everyones’ head on straight and runs things in the office. She’s artistic and loves to share her passions with her family.
HUBERT
Hubert, a Project Manager, has been part of the PCI family for 18 years and is a skilled carpenter. On the weekends you find him hunting mushrooms.
DANA
A long-time Carpenter and Project Manager, Dana knows his way around a crawlspace. He’s big on family.
CACHE
An Apprentice Carpenter, Cache is the newest addition to PCI.
